It seems like Spring 2026 is going to be one of the most packed anime seasons in a long time, even after Summer 2026‘s success. There are long-awaited sequels, fresh new series from legendary creators, and a bunch of fantasy series that have been building hype for years all arriving in the same season starting in April. With that in mind, here are the best ten Spring 2026 anime you absolutely need to keep an eye on.
1. Witch Hat Atelier

Witch Hat Atelier will premiere on April 6, 2026, exclusively on Crunchyroll. It is an animated series produced by Bug Films, the production company behind Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead. Based on the manga series created by Kamome Shirahama, it is a story about Coco, a girl who has always wanted to become a witch in a world where magic is something only naturally born witches have.
Witch Hat Atelier has been slowly gaining a reputation as one of the best manga series currently in production. It has been highly expected to fill the void left by Frieren and has been considered a strong contender in the Anime of the Year category even before it premiered. The opening theme will be sung by Eve and the voice cast is also everything fans could have wanted from a series like this.
2. Daemons of the Shadow Realm

The creator of the hit series Fullmetal Alchemist is at it again with a new series, and the talent that’s been assembled for this anime is almost unfair. Daemons of the Shadow Realm is set to premiere on April 4th, 2026, under the production of Studio Bones, and follows the journey of twins Yuru and Asa who were separated at a young age. Now they have to find each other while also trying to uncover the prophecy that surrounds their ability to control supernatural entities known as Daemons.
What makes this series so interesting is the talent that’s been assembled behind this series. Square Enix, Aniplex, and Bones, the same people who did the original Fullmetal Alchemist anime series, are all working together. In addition, the series is being handled by Masahiro Andō, who did Sword of the Stranger.
3. Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World Season 4

The Pleiades Watchtower arc is finally getting an adaptation. The new season of Re:Zero is set to premiere in April 2026 and resumes from where Season 3 left off, wrapping up the tail end of Arc 5 before diving into Arc 6. This is the longest arc in the series and the one that fans have been waiting years for.
Arc 6 is where things get really uncomfortable in the best ways possible. This is the arc in the series that finally opens the curtains to what exactly Return by Death is at its core and what exactly it’s been costing Subaru in ways that the series has only ever hinted at.
4. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4

Rimuru Tempest is back, but this time the scope is something that this franchise has never attempted before. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 is set to premiere on April 3, 2026, and this season is planned to be a five-cour series with about 60 episodes in total. The first two cours are being released consecutively from April to September 2026 without any breaks in between them. That in itself is a bold statement.
The fourth season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is about the Jura-Tempest Federation’s drive towards creating a world in which humans and monsters can actually coexist. However, threats are also approaching from all sides. Studio Eight Bit is once again working on this series for the fourth season in a row. Five cours is something that this franchise has never attempted before, and honestly, that says a lot about how serious this series is being taken.
5. Classroom of the Elite Season 4

Ayanokouji is starting his second year at school, but things are immediately complicated. As he and his peers get into their second year at the Advanced Nurturing High School, a new class of first-years is introduced. To make matters worse, the first special exam pairs them up with a new first-year student. There’s also a twist: if they don’t perform well enough, it will only be the second-years who are expelled. To make matters worse, one of the first-years seems to hail from the White Room. Studio Lerche has returned to bring us the fourth season, which will start on April 1, 2026.
6. Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2

Wistoria has been quietly winning people over with its first season, and its second season will arrive in April 2026 to keep the momentum going. Wistoria tells the story of Will Serfort, a student in a school for mages with no magical ability whatsoever, but still determined to become the greatest wizard in the world. Season 1 laid the groundwork for the series, and now in Season 2, things are starting to heat up.
Bandai Namco Pictures and Actas are back for the second season. If you are looking for a new underdog shonen series with a lot of heart and a well-realized fantasy world, Wistoria is worth checking out before Spring arrives.
7. Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Season 4

Iruma’s tale in the demon world continues to grow in scale, and Season 4 is coming in Spring 2026 to continue it. Suzuki Iruma continues to go to Demon School Babyls while keeping his true nature as a human a secret. He has risen through the ranks enough to make the attention he is receiving now extend far beyond the school walls. His next challenge is the Music Festival, which will put his relationship with his schoolmates to the test in completely unexpected ways.
Iruma-kun has been quietly growing into one of the most reliable and endearing anime in recent years. The Music Festival story arc is a fan favorite from the manga, and many have been waiting to see it adapted into an anime.
8. The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Season 2

Season 1 of The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten was one of those sleeper hits that nobody really saw coming. A romance slowly builds between the perfect girl next door, Mahiru, and her completely ordinary neighbor Amane, based on real emotional connections rather than drama or clichés. Season 2 continues exactly where the last season left off and will debut in April 2026 from Project No.9.
9. I Made Friends with the 2nd Cutest Girl in My Class

This brand new one for Spring 2026 is based on the light novel series of the same name and tells the story of Maehara Maki, a high school student who somehow manages to form a genuine friendship with Asanagi, the “second cutest girl in the class” according to his classmates. Every Friday, she declines her best friend’s invitations to hang out at Maki’s place instead and watch anime, play video games, and eat junk food. It’s a small, cozy world that’s exclusively their own.
10. One Piece

Last but not least is the GOAT, One Piece. Spring 2026 is just continuing Luffy’s adventures through one of the most pivotal parts of the entire series so far. And it’s no joke to say that One Piece is sitting comfortably in one of the best arcs in its entire run.
If you’ve been keeping up with it, well, you already know what’s coming. And if you haven’t, Spring 2026 is as good a time as any to really get started on catching up on one of the greatest adventures in the history of anime. The scope and ambition of where Eiichiro Oda has taken the series in the last few years has gotten to a point where each new episode really does feel like a big deal.
