Well, now that we have reached an end to September officially, and it’s Pumpkin Spice Latte time again, we really hope that Niantic gives us a good event just like last year, for Halloween. We do have some ideas for a Halloween 2017 event in Pokemon Go, but that’s a subject for another day.
Earlier today, the GAME_MASTER file for Pokemon Go was updated, unfortunately not many significant changes for found, I was really hoping for some sort of update for Halloween. To my disappointment that was not the case this time around. So what changes were seen in the GAME_MASTER file exactly?
Almost all of the GAME_MASTER changed noted were aimed at one thing in the game. Preparing for the Safari Zone events in Copenhagen, Prague, Stockholm, and Amstelveen. Well, that’s it not much for now.
I guess the Safari Zone events are wrapping up as summer has now ended, the event is not that exciting and more or less it is similar to the Equinox event that is bound to come to an end within the next 3 days. Well, anyways the Safari Zone event is a great chance for Pokemon Go trainers living in Copenhagen, Prague, Stockholm, and Amstelveen to grab a Kangaskhan and Special 2KM Eggs during the duration of the event.
The Special Eggs that you will hatching might also contain Shiny Pichu, right now it is the only way in the game to obtain a Shiny Pichu. Various bonuses that trainer will be able to unlock at the event are summarized below.
An in-game medal,
A special 2 KM Egg with exciting rare hatches,
All day Lures at event venues,
Opportunity to catch Kangaskhan in Europe,
Increased spawn rates of Chansey, Larvitar, Unown,
Increased chance to catch a Shiny Pikachu and a Shiny Magikarp

As for the other big news that we have to announce is that, the Equinox Egg Pool has been analysed by our friends at TSR (Thanks, dronpes, you are the rockstar) Well the results of the research is preliminary and more research might be needed, but still the sample size considered for this is pretty much ok, and some conclusions were actually deduced based on the study.
The Conclusions made were summarized in this neat little infographic, for your viewing pleasure, feel free to download it might come in handy.
