ARE NEW TRANSFORMATIONS USED TO OFTEN? DRAGON BALL SUPER – EXPLAINED

In the world of Dragon Ball we have become pretty comfortable and used to seeing new Transformations. No matter the Transformation if its Goku or Gohan as kids turning in to a Giant Ape temporarily, or seeing Goku turn in to any of the Super Saiyan Transformations from Super Saiyan 1 all the way to Super Saiyan Blue. Is it possible were TOO used to transformations, and that there used too much?

Why I say that is because Transformations doesn’t seem to have the same appeal and effect that they did in the early ages of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. Remember when we first say Goku turn Super Saiyan for the first time against Frieza? It was shocking, memorable and something you didn’t think was going to happen again. Then it happens again but this time with Gohan and turning Super Saiyan 2. We were made to think that “Ascended” version that Trunks uses against Perfect Cell was the max a Saiyan can get, Then Gohan proved us wrong with Super Saiyan 2.

When Goten and Trunks were introduced is when Transformations seems to become irrelevant. They could go Super Saiyan by the time their 7 and 8. Then we’re introduced to what was the strongest form of Super Saiyan by Goku himself showcasing Super Saiyan 3 against Majin Buu. It was the most interesting, and different design we had seen for a Saiyan since the original Super Saiyan Transformation. Then again the Super Saiyan 3 Transformation is rendered irrelevant in importance when its obtained by Gotenks who is still just a 7 and 8 year old fused together.

It is safe to say over time Transformations in Dragon Ball has lost that shock factor. Then Dragon Ball Super comes out and were finally introduced to a completely new and original concept.. almost. How Goku obtains the Transformation itself is original but not the design. The design is just base characteristics with red hair and deep red ki. It’s the same for Goku and Vegeta’s newest forms Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. It’s just original Super Saiyan characteristics with blue hair and blue ki.

So will this new Transformation that Goku will be getting in the upcoming episodes of Dragon Ball Super will anything be different? Looking at the leaks of the images of Goku’s newest Transformation, besides the silver eyes and mixes of color for ki, not really. It basically looks like base Goku, with his clothes torn like it was on Namek when fighting Frieza. Doesn’t seem like much originality unfortunately.

What do you all think? Will this Transformation really be different then anything we have seen? Have you become bored with all the Transformations? Is there a character you want to see get a Transformation? Leave all your thoughts, ideas and opinions in the comments down below. As always thanks for reading!!
